Any person convicted of a violation of section 9-8-2 of this chapter shall be punished as provided by the laws of the state. Any person convicted of a violation of section 9-8-8 of this chapter shall be punished as provided by the laws of the state and by the rules and regulations of the state department of fish and game. Any person convicted of a violation of the remaining terms and conditions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
