5-1-5-1: UNINVITED SOLICITORS 1 :
   A.   Nuisance: The practice of going in and upon private residences in the municipality by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or occupant of the private residences, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise and/or disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the same, is a nuisance and punishable as such nuisance or a misdemeanor. (1975 Code § 9.60.010)
   B.   Suppression And Abatement: The law enforcement agency of the city is required and directed to suppress the same and to abate any such nuisance as is described in subsection A of this section. (1975 Code § 9.60.020)
