(a) Permitted types of signs. The following types of signs are permitted in all B-2 Central Business Districts, B-3 Highway Service Business District and I Industrial Districts.
(1) Temporary signs.
(2) Any of the following types of signs which are designed to advertise a business or service conducted on or off-premises, or products, merchandise or commodities stocked or sold on or off- premises:
A. Wall sign;
B. Electric sign;
C. Pole sign;
D. Projecting sign;
E. Roof sign;
F. Combination sign;
G. Pylon sign;
H. Awning or canopy sign.
(b) General provisions.
(1) Signs shall not be located closer than 25 feet to any lot within an R Residential District.
(2) All signs shall be designed in accordance with all other provisions of this chapter governing the location, construction and size of such signs.
(3) On-premises signs shall not be located closer than 15 feet to any lot within an R Residential District.
(4) Off-premises signs shall comply with the following:
A. Wall-mounted off- premises signs shall be limited to only one per block face for each direction of travel and one per building. Block faces shall not include alleys.
B. All off-premises pole signs or other ground-supported signs shall be spaced no closer than 250 feet to any other off-premises sign along or across the street right-of-way.
C. All off-premises signs shall be spaced no closer than 250 feet to any lot zoned R-1, R-2 or developed for one or two family, measured along the right-of-way.
D. No lot developed for one or two family in a B-2, B-3 or I zoned district shall be permitted to erect an off-premises sign.
(5) All signs shall be designed in accordance with all other provisions of this chapter governing the location, construction and size of such signs.
