§ 1026.04 CAROLINA OR LOMBARDY POPLARS.
   (a)   No person shall plant or set out upon or near any street, alley or sidewalk of the city any tree of the variety commonly known as Carolina or Lombardy poplar.
   (b)   If the owner of any Lombardy or Carolina poplar, after being notified by the Mayor to cut down and destroy the same, refuses or neglects to do so within five days of the notification, then the trees shall be caused to be cut down and destroyed by the Superintendent of Streets and Sewers. The remedy shall be in addition to the penalty provided in § 1026.99.
