(a) No person shall operate, or cause to be operated, any sound truck within the city with sound-amplifying equipment in operation. However, in the event of a public disaster, act of God or other emergency, any public utility company may disseminate information to the public by sound-amplifying equipment.
(b) In the event of an emergency as determined by the Mayor or his or her designee, the provisions of this section may be waived by either of the persons.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
