§ 648.11 CURFEW.
   (a)   No minor under the age of 18 years shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon any public street, highway, road, alley, park, playground or other public ground, public place or public building, place of amusement and entertainment, vacant lot or unsupervised place, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. of the following day.
   (b)   The provisions of this section shall not apply to a minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and control of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and control of the minor, or to a minor while on a direct route home from, and within 30 minutes of the closing of, a supervised school, church, Y.M.C.A., scouting or other similarly supervised activity.
   (c)   No parent, guardian or person having legal custody and control of any minor shall knowingly permit the minor to violate any of the provisions of this section.
   (d)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in § 698.02. Minors violating any of the provisions of this section shall be dealt with in accordance with Juvenile Court law and procedure.
