(a) No person shall injure, destroy or deface any property belonging to the Fire Department, or take any water from any public reservoir, except in case of fire, or unlock, uncover or in any way damage any public reservoir, or open any fire hydrant, without the permission of the Fire Chief or his or her designee, or in any way tamper with or injure any of the gates, hydrants or reservoirs connected with the fire service or the waterworks.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree.
