§ 260.22 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   (a)   An employee shall be granted time off with pay for the purpose of attending the funeral upon the death of a member of the employee's immediate family. The employee shall be entitled to a maximum of three workdays for each death in his or her immediate family. For purposes of this section, "immediate family" shall be defined as to include only the employee's spouse, child, parents, sister, brother, grandparents (whether natural or step), grandchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents-in-law, to include, the step relation of all listed above, any other relative living with the employee at the time of the death, and any person who stood as in loco parentis to the employee as a child.
   (b)   If an employee requires more time than is provided for in division (a) hereof, or should he or she wish to attend the funeral of any relative not listed in division (a), he or she may utilize vacation time, sick leave, compensatory time or leave without pay, with the approval of the employee's department head.
