(a) In considering candidates for the position of Fiscal Officer, the Mayor shall make a reasonable effort to locate a suitable candidate who resides in the Village of Sheffield.
(b) Candidates for the position of Fiscal Officer need not be residents of the Village of Sheffield at the time of appointment.
(c) The Fiscal Officer shall reside within either the County of Lorain, or within a county which is contiguous to the County of Lorain at all times during his or her continuance in office.
(d) The failure of the Fiscal Officer to comply with the residency requirements contained herein shall constitute just cause for removal from office by the Mayor.
