(a) Game: As used in this chapter, the term "game" includes game birds, game quadrupeds and fur-bearing animals.
(b) Game Birds: As used in this chapter, the term "game birds" include mourning doves, ring neck pheasants, bobwhites, quail, ruffed grouse, sharp-tailed grouse, pinnate grouse, wild turkey, Hungarian partridge, Chukar partridge, woodcocks, black-breasted plover, golden plover, Wilson's sniper jacksnipe, greater and lesser yellow tails, rails, coots, gallinules, ducks, geese, brant and crows.
(c) Game Quadrupeds: As used in this chapter, the term "game quadrupeds" include cottontail rabbits, gray squirrel, black squirrel, fox squirrel, red squirrel, flying squirrel, chipmunk, groundhog or woodchuck, white tail deer, wild boar and black bears, but does not include domestic deer.
(d) Fur-Bearing Animals: As used in this chapter, the term "fur-bearing animals" includes mink, weasels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, muskrats, fox, beaver, badgers, otters, coyotes and bobcats.
(e) Wild Quadrupeds: As used in this chapter, the term "wild quadrupeds" includes game quadrupeds and fur-bearing animals.
(f) Hunting: As used in this chapter, the term "hunting" means pursuing, shooting, killing, following after or on the trail of, lying in wait for, shooting at or wounding game birds or wild quadrupeds while employing any device commonly used to kill or wound game birds or wild quadrupeds, whether such acts result in such killing or wounding or not. It includes every attempt to kill or wound any every act of assistance to any other person in killing or wounding or attempting to kill or wound game birds or wild quadrupeds.
(g) Trapping: As used in this chapter, the term "trapping" means securing or attempting to secure possession of a wild bird or wild quadruped by means of setting, placing, drawing, or using any device that is designed to close upon, hold fast, confine, or otherwise capture a wild bird or wild quadruped whether such means result in such capturing or not. It includes every act of assistance to any other person in capturing wild birds or wild quadrupeds by means of such device whether such means result in such capturing or not.
(h) State of Ohio's Hunting & Trapping Regulations: As used in this chapter, State of Ohio's Hunting & Trapping Regulations include the regulations effective from time to time as adopted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the State of Ohio, which are incorporated herein by reference.
