(a) Internet Gaming/Sweepstakes Cafe Devices. The fee for each internet Gaming/Sweepstakes Cafe device shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per device per month. All fees for any and all Internet Gaming/Sweepstakes Cafe devices shall be paid to the office of the Village of Sheffield Clerk-Treasurer by the first of the month. If said monthly fee is not paid on the first of the month, there is a compound interest penalty each day for non-payment.
Failure to abide by this provision will be a violation to the license and an appropriate penalty, including closing down the facility, will occur.
(b) Internet Gaming/Sweepstakes Cafe. The fee for an Internet Gaming/Sweepstakes Café shall be five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) per year or portion of a year. Each license shall be valid for a period of up to a maximum of one (1) year beginning with the date of issue of the year until December 31st of that year unless suspended or revoked as provided in this Chapter.
(c) Replacement License. The fee for a replacement license shall be fifty dollars ($50.00).
(d) Filed with Application. License fees under this Chapter shall be filed with the application for license.
(e) Return of Fee. In the event an application is denied under this Chapter, one-half of the license fee therefore shall be returned to the applicant. In the event any license is suspended or revoked under this Chapter, no portion of the license fee shall be returned to the owner.
