331.36 VEHICLE ACCELERATION CAUSING LOUD NOISES.
   (a)   No person shall race or accelerate any motor of a vehicle while the motor vehicle is not in gear or in motion so as to cause unreasonably loud noises. No person shall excessively race or accelerate the motor of any vehicle while moving in first or second gears so as to cause unreasonably loud noise or squealing of tires.

   (b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
