141.02 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.
   Minimum qualifications for appointment to the Fire Department are as follows:
   (a)    Minimum age, eighteen years;
   (b)    All applicants must take a physical examination, the form and the physician to be provided for by the Municipality;
   (c)    A certificate of training or documented proof of past experience on another fire department;
   (d)    In the event of no previous experience, a temporary appointment may be granted by the Chief until the next regular training period is scheduled;
   (e)    Nonresidents may be appointed upon the recommendation of the Fire Chief;
   (f)    Members of the Rescue Units shall have completed the standard and advanced first aid course before they shall be eligible to make runs;

   (g)    The maximum age for an initial appointment as an employee of the Fire Department either as inspector or Fire Chief, shall be forty-eight years of age. On December 31, 2003, the maximum age shall be amended to less than thirty-eight years of age. An individual may receive an initial appointment prior to his or her attainment of the age of forty-eight and after December 31, 2003, prior to the attainment of age thirty-eight.

   (h)   The maximum age for the initial appointment to the position of Firefighter with the Sharonville Fire Police Department is forty years of age.
