139.04 AUTOMOBILE ALLOWANCE.

   (a)   The Safety-Service Director shall henceforth receive an annual automobile allowance of seven thousand two hundred dollars ($7,200) to be paid in monthly increments, in order to reimburse him or her for the cost of obtaining, maintaining and insuring an automobile for municipal purposes. In addition, for trips in excess of 100 miles each way, the Safety-Service Director shall be reimbursed for actual gasoline purchases on a dollar for dollars basis, not on a mileage basis.

   (b)   The Deputy Director shall receive an annual automobile allowance of three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500), to be paid monthly, in order to reimburse him or her for the cost of obtaining, maintaining and insuring an automobile for municipal purposes. In addition, for trips in excess of 100 miles each way, the Deputy Director shall also be reimbursed for actual gasoline purchases on a dollar for dollar basis, not on a mileage basis.
