133.10 TRUST FUND FOR UNCLAIMED MONEYS.
   (a)    There is hereby established a Trust Fund for the purpose of receiving, accounting and disbursing unclaimed moneys in the City.
   (b)    Unclaimed moneys, including checks which are issued but not negotiated for a period exceeding ninety days, shall be posted to the Trust Fund and identified as unclaimed moneys.
   (c)    The Trust Fund shall retain the unclaimed moneys for a period of five years from the date the funds were placed in the Trust Fund, after which the funds shall be paid to the General Fund of the City.
   (d)    If the rightful owner claims funds held in the Trust Fund within the five year period, such owner shall be paid from the Trust Fund. If the rightful owner claims unpaid moneys after the five year period, then such rightful owner shall be paid from the General Fund. (Ord. 91-85. Passed 10-29-91.)
