133.07 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND; DRUG LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.

   (a)    There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the "Law Enforcement Trust Fund", pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 2933.43, in order to receive and disburse funds either seized or resulting from the sale or auction of seized contraband.

   Funds distributed to the Trust Fund shall be used to pay the costs of complex investigations or prosecutions, provide specialized training or expertise, to provide matching funds to obtain government grants, or for such other law enforcement purposes as Council shall determine to be appropriate. The Trust Fund shall not be used to meet the current operating costs of the City that are not related to law enforcement.

   (b)    There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the "Drug Law Enforcement Trust Fund", pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 2925.03. The fund shall be utilized for a receipt of fines, or portions thereof, collected pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code sections dealing with drug offenses, and shall also be utilized to receive the portion of forfeited bail for persons charged with drug offenses.
