717.06 FENCE REQUIRED.
   (a)   Businesses under this chapter shall conceal outside storage areas with a fence or enclosure around the perimeter of the business operations. A fence is an enclosure which shall be non-transparent and be at least eight (8) and no more than ten (10) feet in height (notwithstanding any zoning requirements), and such height used must be consistent for the entire fence. The fence shall be kept in good order and repair, in a neat and safe condition, and care shall be taken to prevent deterioration. No advertisement shall be permitted on a fence other than the name of the person under whose name the license has been issued and the nature of the business conducted therein.
   (b)   Such fence shall be constructed of materials intended by the manufacturer and industry for the purpose of a fence or enclosure. All fence materials shall be treated or conditioned with an application, procedure, or product to prevent deterioration. The materials used in the construction of the fence shall eliminate all visibility through the fence for the entire height required for the fence.
   (c)   A fence shall not consist of any other materials other than described in this section. Trees, bushes, shrubbery or any other vegetational growth shall never constitute a fence. The business junk shall never be kept, piled or stored in such a manner so as to be greater in height than the fence. Such fence must be in compliance with all other chapters of the Municipality's Code, including, but not limited to, setback distances where applicable, unless otherwise specified herein.
   (d)   A fence otherwise required by this Chapter shall not be required for the specific portion of the business property which directly abuts the right of way for an interstate highway and for entrance and exit ramps from any such interstate highway within the City of Sharonville.
