1305.01 ADOPTION BY REFERENCE; APPLICATION AND PURPOSE.

   (a)    Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code § 731.231, there is hereby adopted by the Municipality, the ICC International Property Maintenance Code, current edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc. (ICC) and which is incorporated fully herein as if set out at length, for the purpose of establishing minimum standards for all existing structures and premises to protect the public health, safety and welfare.

   (b)    Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within the ICC International Property Maintenance Code, any references to property owners within the ICC International Property Maintenance Code are also deemed applicable to property occupiers.

   (c)    Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within the ICC International Property Maintenance Code and subject to verification by the Safety-Service Director or his/her designee via the Hamilton County or Butler County Auditor's Office that the property has not transferred ownership since an initial violation, any subsequent violation within a 12-month period following does not require notice of the violation to be given to the property owner or occupier prior to initiating citation to court pursuant to Sharonville Codified Ordinance Section 1305.99.

   (d)    Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within the ICC International Property Maintenance Code, members of boards of appeals are permitted to be compensated by the City of Sharonville and/or employees of the City of Sharonville.
