The provisions of this chapter shall not, however, apply to judicial sales or sales by executors or administrators; nor to sales of unredeemed pledges by or on behalf of licensed pawnbrokers in the manner prescribed by law; nor to the sale of farm products, farming implements, livestock or household goods sold from private homes; nor to sales, by salvage companies registered and authorized to transact business in Pennsylvania when acting for or on behalf of fire, marine or other insurance companies also registered and authorized to transact business in Pennsylvania, of any goods or merchandise received by them in due course of adjustment; nor to real estate, machinery and equipment; nor to personal property not in the general line of merchandise.
