Effective January 1, 2006, upon recommendation of the Fire Chief, the Town Administrator shall have the duty of hiring persons as may be necessary to man the Fire Department of the town and to provide the town with adequate fire protection. The Fire Chief upon approval of the Town Administrator, may hire members of the Fire Department for positions that the Board of Aldermen has previously budgeted in the current fiscal year budget. Members of the Fire Department shall be discharged as set forth in the personnel policies of the town.
