(A) The Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office shall be utilized by the request of the Town Administrator to enforce the North Carolina Fire Code within the town and extra-territorial jurisdiction in the event a Shallotte Fire Code Official is unavailable to carryout a Fire Code enforcement activity.
(B) The intent is to provide a standardized, systemic, and a service continuity approach related to Fire Code enforcement. Where as Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office is able to provide qualified, experienced, and active Fire Code inspectors related to the Fire Code enforcement industry as regulated by the North Carolina Code Official’s qualification period.
