§ 51.05  WATER CONNECTIONS.
   (A)   Within 30 days after the water main in any street is completed, permitted by the state, all applicable fees paid, and ready for use, the owner of every abutting lot whereon water is needed for human use shall cause the lot to be connected with the water main.
   (B)   Every house or building abutting any water main shall be separately and independently connected, except in those cases where laterals from the main have already been laid in macadam or improved streets, without provisions having been made for the house or building, when the connection may be made to an existing lateral.  If the house or building is on a macadam or improved street where laterals have not been laid, the connection may be made to any convenient lateral.  When two or more houses or units are connected with the same water lateral, a separate water meter shall be provided for each house or unit.
