143.12 INSURANCE.

The Mayor is authorized to procure insurance in such amount as is found necessary in the public interest for all funds or securities that come into the possession of the Director or any office or department of the City, or any funds or securities the possession or custody of which is charged to any City official, including funds or securities in transit to or from any bank or trust company.
