136.02 INDEMNIFICATION AUTHORIZED.

   To the extent allowed by law, the City shall indemnify and hold harmless any of its elected or appointed officials, officers or employees, or any former officials, officers or employees, in the amount of any judgment, or settlement, other than a judgment for punitive or exemplary damages, against such officials, officers or employees in a State or Federal court, for damages for injury, death or loss to persons or property caused by any act or omission of such officials, officers or employees if the act or omission occurred during the course of their official duties or employment and such officials, officers or employees were acting in good faith.
