The Director of Law and the Police Department shall work cooperatively with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health in the enforcement of laws and regulations for the protection of the public health, the prevention or restriction of disease, and the prevention, abatement or suppression of nuisances. The Law Director shall, with the assistance of the Police Department and Cuyahoga County Board of Health, enforce Ohio law and ordinances enacted by Council by prosecutions in the Municipal Court of the City, civil actions in the court of appropriate jurisdiction, or such other means as may be lawful.
