122.01 PURPOSE AND SCOPE.

Council intends this Chapter as a regulation of the use of alarm systems in commercial and residential properties within the City. Council intends to regulate the high percentage of false alarms received from such alarm systems which have the effect of unduly overburdening the Police and Fire Departments. This overburdening diverts police and fire resources from other legitimate matters of public safety and concern.
