1151.05 PARKING PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY SAFETY DIRECTOR.
The Director of Safety is authorized to designate streets or portions thereof on which the parking of vehicles shall be prohibited or restricted in such manner as the Director may consider necessary for the proper regulation and control of traffic. Such designation shall be made by causing signs to be erected and maintained in the street at each end of the designated portion, which sign shall be plainly legible and indicate that parking is prohibited or restricted. Similar signs may be placed at other locations within the designated portion, at the Director's discretion. When a street or portion thereof has been so designated, no person shall stand or park a vehicle except in accordance with such designation or when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or with the provisions of this Traffic Code, or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or a traffic control device. (Ord. 6440. Enacted 9-17-56.)
