1105.01 AUTHORITY OF SAFETY DIRECTOR.

   (a)   The Director of Safety is hereby authorized and directed to determine and establish the following schedules for the location of traffic signs, signals, and markings:

      (1)   Traffic control signals.

      (2)   Stop intersections.

      (3)   Yield right-of-way signs.

      (4)   Turn limitations.

      (5)   Through streets.

      (6)   One-way streets.

      (7)   Parking meter zones.

      (8)   Restricted traffic streets.

      (9)   Hazardous or no passing zones.

   (b)   In determining the location of such traffic signs, signals, and markings, the Director shall consider the maximum safety of the vehicular and pedestrian traffic, the convenience and welfare of the general public, existing and potential traffic conditions, and records of accidents. The Director shall further consider and review the recommendations of the Chief of the Police Department, the Chief of the Fire Department, and the Director of Public Works.
