901.99 PENALTY.

   (a)   The owner, lessee, agent or person in charge or control of any building or premises where anything in violation of this Fire Prevention Code is placed or exists, and any person who violates or causes or knowingly permits any violation of this Code in buildings or on premises under the person's charge or control, and any person who violates any provision of this Code or fails to comply therewith shall, for each violation or noncompliance, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree unless otherwise specifically indicated, and penalized as set forth in Section 101.99 of the Codified Ordinances. Each day of such violation or failure to comply shall constitute a separate offense.

   (b)   The City may take legal action for any violation of this Fire Prevention Code including, without limitation, a civil action to enforce this Code through injunction or mandamus. The City may abate or take other appropriate action to prevent, enjoin, abate or remove anything in violation of this Fire Code, or the City may criminally prosecute any person in violation of this Code.

   (c)   In addition to the penalties provided herein, the Fire Chief may refuse to issue, suspend or revoke any permit issued or required by this Fire Prevention Code.
