729.04 LIQUOR CONSUMPTION OR OPEN CONTAINER IN MOTOR

(a) No person shall consume any beer or intoxicating liquor in a motor vehicle. This section does not apply to persons described in Section 729.07(d). (ORC 4301.64)

(b) No person shall possess an open container of beer or intoxicating liquor in a motor vehicle except in a place which can be reached only by leaving the vehicle.
