§ 152.20 LICENSE REQUIREMENTS.
   To operate or engage in business as an electrician or electrical contractor within the city and two-mile jurisdictional area, the person, firm, partnership, or corporation desiring to operate or engage in that business shall be duly licensed according to the provisions of this chapter. The license shall be issued only in the name of the person, firm, partnership, or corporation making application for the license. A person requesting the issuance of a license in the name of a firm, partnership, or corporation shall on that application list the names and addresses of all of that firm or partnership or the name and location of the place of the principal office of the corporation. Any change in the location of the place of business and any change in the membership of the firm or partnership shall be reported to the Department of Planning and Zoning within five days after the change occurs. The examination described in § 152.36 of this code shall be required to be taken and passed by at least one member of the firm, partnership, or corporation, which member or members shall be required to be on the job site at all times in either a direct or supervisory capacity. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as prohibiting industrial manufacturing concerns from installing and maintaining customary electrical installation incidental to the operations of that concern without complying with the licensing provisions of this chapter.
