§ 152.36 EXAMINATION REQUIRED.
   (A)   Any person, firm, corporation, or independent contractor desiring to engage in electrical work within the city and the two-mile jurisdictional area is required to first pass an examination as required by the Board of Examiners concerning his or her ability, experience, training, and fitness to engage in that line of work. Apprenticeship cards shall be issued to new hires and temporary employees for a period of no more than two years.
   (B)   After the two-year period those employees shall apply for an electrician’s license.
