§ 95.32 TREE TRIMMING; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to engage in tree trimming, for hire, without first securing a permit so to do, as hereinafter provided.
   (B)   Any person, firm, or corporation desiring to engage in the service of tree trimming, for hire, shall file with the Clerk-Treasurer a general performance bond in the minimum amount of $500 payable to the city, and maintain public liability insurance in the minimum amount of $10,000 to indemnify the public generally against loss or damage to person or property through the negligence of the tree trimmers or their agents, servants, and employees.
   (C)   Permits will be issued by the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer upon request, without charge therefor, upon proof of clearance by the applicant as to the specific tree trimming by the Chief of Police of this city.
   (D)   The Chief of Police may deny the clearance, until and unless that person, firm, or corporation desiring to trim trees for hire shall furnish satisfactory proof to the Chief of Police that the proposed tree trimming will not interfere with or endanger traffic, whether vehicular or pedestrian, on any public thoroughfare of this city.
   (E)   This section shall not apply to persons or individuals desiring to trim trees on their own property.
   (F)   Any violation of this section shall be a code violation punishable upon conviction by a fine.
