§ 95.15 UNCUT WEEDS PROHIBITED; ABATEMENT.
   (A)   The owners of real property located within the city and the unincorporated jurisdictional area, as shown on the city’s Jurisdictional Area and Zone Map, are required to cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing on the property as provided herein.
   (B)   (1)   Weeds and rank vegetation shall be maintained at a height not to exceed twn inches.
      (2)   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
         WEEDS AND OTHER RANK VEGETATIONS. The term does not include agricultural crops, such as hay and pasture.
   (C)   The Board of Public Works and Safety of the city shall be responsible for the administration of this subchapter.
   (D)   Upon determination of a violation of this subchapter by the Building Commissioner or his or her agents, notice shall be given to the owner of the real property of the condition constituting a violation, and requiring that the weeds and rank vegetation be cut and removed within five days after receipt of the notice. Notice shall be given by certified or registered mail, or any other means available whereby proof of receipt thereof is procurable, including by personal service.
   (E)   If the owner fails to abate the violation as stated in the notice of violation, the city or its contractors may enter the real property immediately or within a reasonable time after the owner’s failure to comply, during daylight hours, to abate a violation of the subchapter.
