339.12 USE OF ENGINE BRAKES PROHIBITED.
   (a)   For purposes of this section, “engine brakes” means an engine compression braking device or system (commonly also referred to as “Jake Brakes”, “dynamic brakes”, or “compression brakes”) installed on a vehicle which is in any way activated or operated by the compression of its engine or any part thereof to brake the vehicle as a supplement to, or independent from, its wheel brakes.
   (b)   No operator of a vehicle shall use engine brakes within the City of Seven Hills, except in an emergency to avert an immediate danger to life or property.
   (c)   The prohibition set forth in this section shall not apply to authorized emergency vehicles responding to a call.
