171.06 ILLUMINATION.
   (a)   Light sources to illuminate signs shall be shielded from all adjacent residential buildings and streets and shall not be of such brightness as to cause glare that may be hazardous to pedestrians or auto drivers or so as to cause reasonable objection from adjacent Residential Districts.
   (b)    In Public Facilities and Residential Districts, only nameplates and bulletin boards may be illuminated. All signs in Business Districts may be illuminated. Parking lot signs, automotive sales lot owners' signs and temporary subdivision signs may be illuminated in accordance with the provisions of this section. (Ord. 48-2001. Passed 9-24-01.)
