The City hereby resolves to indemnify the Police Department, its officers, patrolmen and employees from any claim, loss or expense arising out of the lawful performance of their duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to, providing legal defense for any claim which may be brought against them as a result of the performance of such duties.
