135.11 AUXILIARY POLICE UNIT.
(a)    In the Department of Police, in the Department of Public Safety, there is hereby created a body to be known as the "Auxiliary Police Unit" which shall have as its head the Director of Public Safety. The Director of Public Safety and the Chief of Police shall prescribe rules and regulations for the organization, authority, training, administration, control and conduct of the Auxiliary Police Unit.
(b)    Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit are not eligible for membership in the Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund provided by Ohio R.C. Chapter 742, nor shall they be in the classified service of the City.
(c)    It is hereby further provided that the Auxiliary Police Unit is not subject to the rules and regulations adopted by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council.

   (d)    It is hereby further expressly provided that the Auxiliary Police Unit shall be subject to the "Rules and Regulations for the Government of the Seven Hills Auxiliary Police Unit," as amended from time to time, a copy of which is attached to original Ordinance 55-1996, and made a part hereof by reference.
