(a) The salary for the Chief of Police shall be a fixed differential of 13.5% above the base wage rate of Lieutenants.
Base pay shall not include any additional compensation that may be payable for Holidays, Personal Days, Clothing Allowance, Longevity, Law Enforcement Premium or any other additional compensation that may be provided by Ordinance.
The Police Chief shall work at least eighty (80) hours in a two (2) week period and shall not be paid overtime or receive compensatory time off for hours worked exceeding eighty (80) hours in a two (2) week period.

(g) Educational Benefit. The City shall pay as and for an educational management training benefit all expenses relating to the Chief of Police attending one seminar or program per year. The Chief of Police, however, is not required to attend one program or seminar per year. (Ord. 18-1990. Passed 3-12-90.)

(m) Salary Reduction. In accordance with current practice, the Employer agrees to continue the “salary reduction” method for “pick up” of the Chief of Police’s share of the Ohio Police and Fire Disability Pension Fund (“OP&F”) provided same is permitted by and in accordance with statutes, rules and/or regulations of the Internal Revenue Service and the OP&F. Under such salary reduction plan, the Chief’s gross pay will be reduced by the Chief’s share of the contribution rate which share will be forwarded to the OP&F. It is the parties’ purpose of this provision to memorialize current practice. (Ord. 64-2009. Passed 7-13-09.)
(n) Additional Employment Benefits of the Chief of Police. In accordance with current practice, the Chief of Police shall receive the same benefits provided to the Lieutenants Bargaining Unit under any existing or any future collective bargaining agreement entered into by the City, notwithstanding any prior ordinances pertaining to employment.
