(a) There is hereby established the part-time position of Legal Intern, The person appointed by the Director of Law to such position shall be a law student at an accredited law school; shall work such hours as are directed by the Director but shall not exceed a maximum of forty hours per week and such person shall be responsible to and directed by the Director.
(b) Compensation for such Legal Intern to the Law Director shall be within the range of three dollars and seventy-five cents ($3.75) to four dollars and thirty-five cents ($4.35) per hour for hours worked at the order and discretion of the Law Director. The exact hourly rate within the foregoing range is to be determined by the Law Director. Compensation shall be payable bi-weekly, every other week, for such position.
