127.041 DUTIES AND COMPENSATION OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF LAW FOR BUILDING AND ZONING.
   (a)   Duties. The Assistant Director of Law for Building and Zoning shall be a part-time position and shall be responsible to the Mayor and Director of Law. Such Assistant will attend all Planning Commission meetings and all meetings of the Zoning Board of Appeals, as well as any and all Council meetings where matters emanating in the Planning Commission or from the Zoning Board of Appeals are being reviewed. Such Assistant will advise the Building Department, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals on all matters before them as requested. Such Assistant will advise and assist the Building Department in their day-to-day operations, and in the preparation of citations pertaining to violations of the building or zoning codes, and shall represent the City in the Mayor’s Court in the prosecution of any such violations.
   (b)   Compensation. The base salary for the Assistant for building and zoning shall be fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum. Such base salary shall be payable in equal monthly installments. Any work beyond that outlined above, such as filling in for the Law Director at Council meetings, or filling in for the Prosecutor during the regular Municipal court docket, and for conducting any trials in the Parma Municipal Court related to building and zoning code enforcement, or representation of the City or any of its officers as one of the attorneys of record in any other court relating to building and zoning matters, and to review proposed developments and subdivisions, and prepare legislation relating to such developments or subdivisions, the assistant would be paid one hundred dollars ($100.00) per hour. Such hours shall be detailed monthly, and promptly paid by the Finance Department within the following month in which such services were rendered.
   (c)   Effective Date. Such compensation shall be effective immediately and continue until such time as amended or modified by Council.
