127.04 DUTIES AND COMPENSATION OF ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF LAW FOR PROSECUTIONS.
   (a)   Duties. The Assistant Director of Law for Prosecutions shall be a part-time position and shall be responsible to the Mayor and Director of Law. Such Assistant shall represent the City and all of its departments and officers in all proceedings in the Mayor’s Court of the City, and in the Municipal Court, or before any board or commission, relative to the prosecution of any individuals or companies in violation of the Codified Ordinances or general laws of the State of Ohio. The Prosecutor shall advise the Police Department and any other officers within the City with the responsibility of enforcement of the Codified Ordinances or state law, relative to citations or investigatory documents, and shall advise such officers of the City on their day-to-day activities relative to the enforcement of all codes. The Prosecutor shall update each of the City departments, and officers of any change in state law or Codified Ordinances relative to that department’s enforcement responsibilities.
   (b)   Compensation. The base salary of the Prosecutor shall be twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) per annum. Such base salary shall be payable in equal monthly installments. Any work performed by the Prosecutor outside of that outlined above, such as filling in for the Law Director at Council meetings or other meetings of boards and commissions or performing the assigned duties of the Director or any other assistant director of law, and for the representation of the City in any jury or bench trials, or suppression hearings conducted in Municipal Court, the Prosecutor would be paid one hundred dollars ($100.00) per hour. Such hours shall be detailed monthly, and promptly paid by the Finance Department within the following month in which such services were rendered.
   (c)   Effective Date. The base compensation set forth above shall be effective January 1, 2022. The hourly compensation shall be effective June 1, 2022.
