(a) The Part-time Property Maintenance Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor for a period of one year, subject to confirmation of Council, for the purpose of conducting property maintenance inspections and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The part-time Property Maintenance Inspector position requires a minimum of twenty-five (25) hours per week and no more than twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
(b) The part-time Property Maintenance Inspector's compensation shall be thirty-seven dollars ($37.00) per hour for his part-time duties together with any other benefits as provided by Chapter 151. Such compensation will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The hourly range for the part-time city property maintenance inspector shall be adjusted automatically annually to reflect the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) percentage increase effective January 1, 2025 and every January 1, thereafter.
(c) The part-time Property Maintenance Inspector shall obtain, at his or her own expense, an automobile insurance policy containing a liability insurance provision with limited coverage of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,00) and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) property damage insurance, the City to be co-insured by endorsement in such policy together with the City Inspectors.
