SECTION XII-1. EFFECTIVE DATE OF CHARTER

This Charter shall be in effect on and after the first day of January, 1967. The officers elected in November, 1965, shall continue in office for the duration of their respective elected terms of office. The elected Auditor shall assume the duties of the Director of Finance, as provided by this Charter, on January 1, 1968 for the remainder of his unexpired term of office.
