SECTION VI-2. ELECTIONS.
   In the event that more than six (6) persons are nominated for the elective Municipal office of Councilmen at Large, or more than two (2) persons are nominated for any other elective Municipal office as provided in this Charter, then a primary election shall be held on the second Tuesday in September prior to the regular Municipal election for the purposes of selecting six (6) candidates for Councilmen at Large and two (2) candidates for each other office. The six (6) candidates for Councilmen at Large and two (2) candidates for each other such office shall be those six (6) in the case of candidates for Councilmen at Large and those two (2) candidates for each such other office receiving the highest number of votes cast in the primary election. The name of each person who is nominated in compliance herewith shall be printed on the official ballot at the regular Municipal elections and names of no other candidates shall be printed thereon. The filing deadline for the Primary Election held on the second Tuesday in September shall be 90 days prior to the election.

   The regular Municipal election shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of odd-numbered years. Except as otherwise provided in this Charter, the laws of Ohio applicable to elections shall govern. (Adopted 6-5-73.)
