148.12 CAMP COUNSELOR / BEFORE & AFTER CARE COUNSELOR.
   (a)   Establishment. There is hereby established the position of The Camp Counselor/Before & After Care Counselor, which is part-time position responsible for the day to day activities of Before and After Care Program as well as all seasonal camps. The Counselor is responsible for all campers and program participants and reports directly to the Camp Director/Before & After Care Coordinator.
   (b)   Responsibilities of Camp Counselor / Before & After Care Counselor:
      (1)    Must represent the Seven Hills Recreation Department by properly directing comments and concerns by parents of program participants to the Camp Coordinator.
      (2)    Follow Employee manual and emergency plans, sign out policies, etc for participants
      (3)    Invoice parents and enforce Before and After Care Guidelines
      (4)    Carry out day to day activities for camp and Before / After Care program.
      (5)    Ensure safety of both camp patrons by correcting hazards and handling problem situations.
      (6)    Constantly monitor and interact with camp participants
      (7)    CPR/ AED & First Aid Certifications
      (8)    Basic cleaning and set up / tear down for rooms before and after the program or activity
      (9)    Make sure all safety policies and procedures are followed in regards to signing campers in and out.
      (10)    Communicate with Camp Coordinator to make recommendations for improvements to camp to make it safer and more enjoyable for members and guests.
      (11)    Any other duties as assigned by Administrative Staff
   (c)   Hourly Range of Compensation for the Camp Counselor / Before & After Care Counselor:
      Minimum Wage - $14.00 / hour
