148.10 BUILDING MONITOR / LEAD BUILDING MONITOR.
   (a)    Establishment. There are hereby established the positions of Building Monitor/ Lead Building Monitor /park Crew, which are part time positions that report directly to the Recreation and Parks Director and Park Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Building Monitor / Lead Building Monitor /Park Crew is to monitor the entire building to ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment.
   (b)    Requirements for the Building Monitor/Lead Building Monitor/Park Crew
      (1)    Ability to interact with people of all ages.
      (2)    Ability to enforce rules.
      (3)    Customer service oriented.
      (4)    Current CPR/ AED and First Aid certification.
      (5)    Minimum of 18 years of age or older.
      (6)   LEAD BUILDING MONITOR: Schedule other Building Monitors according to the Facility's need, including preparation of sports fields and pavilions for usage regarding Programs, other than maintenance and repairs.
   (c)    Duties of the Building Monitor/Lead Building Monitor/Park Crew.
      (1)    Ensure set up and break down of rooms for special events or parties.
      (2)    Handle and document injuries and incidents.
      (3)    Understand and have a working knowledge of all Employee Department Manuals.
      (4)   Monitor any parks, fitness area and track to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
      (5)    In the event of an emergency, notify member or management staff and take appropriate action.
      (6)    Ability to instruct people in the proper use of fitness. equipment/demonstrate correct use of fitness equipment.
      (7)    Monitor locker rooms, halls, lobby, fitness area and all other common areas to ensure proper behavior and a safe clean facility.
      (8)    Walk gym, fitness area, pool and gathering rooms to ensure staff is present and performing job duties.
      (9)    Flexible to work varied hours, weekends and substitute for others as needed.
      (10)    Clean equipment and general fitness area.
      (11)    Keep a presence at the front desk to enforce membership requirements for facility usage.
      (12)    Check that exits are properly secured to eliminate unauthorized entrance to building.
      (13)    Enforce all rules and regulations.
      (14)    Report building and park damage or vandalism to Director.
      (15)    Help keep facility and Parks neat and clean.
      (16)    Do what is necessary to keep the Parks and Recreation Center safe, clean and operating smoothly.
      (17)    Prepare and line sport fields and pavilions for usage regarding programs, other than maintenance and repairs as scheduled by Lead Monitor, Recreation Complex Manager or Parks Supervisor.
      (18)    Other duties as assigned by Recreation Administrators.
   (d)    Hourly compensation range for the Building Monitor/Lead Building Monitor
