(a) No occupant, operator, lessor, or owner, shall commence occupancy, inhabitation or use of any commercial structure without first having received from the design architect and contractor, a written statement that the commercial project is constructed in accordance with approved specs and plans and further, that the design architect and contractor have approved and certified all field changes.
The Building Commissioner may waive this requirement with minor projects.
(b) The certification of commercial project statements shall be submitted to the Building Commissioner at the time of application for occupancy permits. The fee charged for the Certificate of Occupancy shall be prescribed in Chapter 1125.07 and shall be paid prior to taking occupancy.
(c) The owner or tenant of any commercial building structure, or other building or land upon which such buildings are located, who is responsible for procuring a Certificate of Occupancy must display the same upon the premises for which such inspection certificate was procured.
