No person shall erase, alter or modify any lines, figures, letters, words or coloring contained upon any such drawings or specifications filed with or stamped by the Building Commissioner. If, during the progress of the execution of such work, it is desired to deviate in any manner affecting the construction or other essentials of the building from the terms of the application, plans or specifications, notice of such intention to alter or deviate shall be given in writing to the Building Commissioner for approval.
