1121.10 HOME OWNER’S EXEMPTION.
   The provisions of Chapter 1123, Licensing of Contractors, shall not apply to a home owner or member of his family who shall do any of the work herein listed upon his own premises, house or building, or upon a premises, house or building leased by him. The remaining provisions of this Building Code shall apply to such home owners or members of his family who shall do any of the work herein listed upon his own premises, house or building or upon a premises, house or building leased by him. Such home owner, when performing work which requires a permit, shall submit an affidavit to the Building Commissioner stating exactly the nature and extent of the work to be performed by such home owner, or by a member of his family on his behalf and post a one hundred dollar ($100.00) cash bond which will be refunded upon final inspection and approval of the work so performed. Any work performed by such home owner or member of his family shall be subject to all inspections authorized by the Building Commissioner. (Ord. 19-1993. Passed 4-26-93.)
